Oneirism
The concept of my collection came about from my personal vendetta with nightmares and sleep paralysis, hence the title “Oneirism”. I delved into different sources of inspiration in a bid to realize the monsters from my dreams. The film “The Science of Sleep” provided the foundation for the warped reality of my subconscious, while artists Dado(Miodrag Djuric) and Hikari Shimoda brought to life the monsters I hoped to vanquish. By using the Peranakan culture as a point of reference for the base patterns and the bright, pastel colours, I created a whimsical reality of mine.
